Answer:Each 6 mL cartridge contains 500 mg of 40 µm C18-bonded silica for hydrophobic, reversed-phase extraction.
Answer:They are used for cleanup and concentration of hydrophobic analytes in aqueous and biological matrices before chromatographic analysis.
Answer:One package contains 30 standard straight-barrel cartridges; the tabless format is a separate variant.
Agilent Bond Elut C18 solid-phase extraction cartridges contain 500 mg of 40 µm octadecyl-bonded silica in a 6 mL straight-barrel reservoir. The hydrophobic reversed-phase sorbent retains nonpolar and moderately hydrophobic compounds from aqueous samples and biological fluids, allowing matrix components to be washed away before selective elution. The cartridges support sample cleanup, analyte enrichment and solvent exchange before HPLC or GC analysis. Each package contains 30 individual cartridges. A typical workflow conditions the sorbent with an appropriate organic solvent, equilibrates it with an aqueous solution, loads the sample, applies a wash and elutes retained analytes in a suitable solvent. Recovery depends on analyte hydrophobicity, sample pH, solvent composition and loading capacity. This is the standard cartridge configuration, not the tabless variant. Method-specific recovery and reproducibility should be assessed with relevant samples and controls.
