Answer:It includes a diamond-tipped cutting pencil, 20× magnifier, ferrule and septum removal tools, and refillable leak-detection fluid.
Answer:A square, unobstructed cut supports consistent flow and reduces dead volume or active surfaces at the connection.
Answer:No. It contains installation and maintenance tools; GC columns and gas purifiers are separate items.
The Agilent capillary GC column installation kit assembles specialized hand tools for cutting, inspecting and fitting fused-silica chromatographic columns. The kit includes a diamond-tipped cutting pencil, a 20× magnifier, ferrule removal tool, septum removal tool and a refillable 2 oz bottle of Snoop leak-detection fluid. A clean, square column cut and accurately installed ferrule help avoid restrictions, leaks and poor chromatographic peak shapes. Magnification assists inspection of freshly cut capillary ends, while removal tools support routine inlet and fitting maintenance. Leak detection after column installation is essential to protect sensitive detectors and prevent carrier-gas loss. The kit is intended for installation and maintenance activities and does not include a capillary column, an injector, a complete chromatograph or a gas purifier. Operators should follow the GC instrument's recommended column insertion depths and fitting torque requirements for the relevant inlet and detector.
