Description
APA 6000™ Ammonia/Monochloramine Analyzer
Total Chloramination Control. Many water utilities have switched from traditional chlorination to Chloramination in order to lower the risk of disinfection by-products (DBP's) and provide long-lasting residual disinfection with monochloramine. The APA 6000 Ammonia/Monochloramine Analyzer is the first system that affordably monitors all critical Chloramination parameters - free ammonia, total ammonia and monochloramine - and enables you to maintain continuous control of the Chloramination system.
Total Chloramination Control
Monitors all three critical Chloramination parameters: free ammonia, total ammonia and monochloramine
Selectable readout
The APA 6000 offers a variety of display options, including a display of all three Chloramination values simultaneously. Simple menu displays - in English, French, Spanish or German - guide you step by step through all procedures
Automatic functions
Self cleaning, self-calibrating and self-priming - simplify daily operation
Corrosion-resistant
The APA 6000 is enclosed in a NEMA 4X (IP66) shockproof and corrosion-resistant ABS case that protects components and helps maintain constant temperatures in the mixing chamber regardless of external temperature.
Method of Analysis
A modified Phenate method is used to colorimetrically determine monochloramine values. The addition of an excess of hypochlorite at the proper pH provides total ammonia values. The instrument then calculates free ammonia values.
