Overview
Interested in learning more about next-generation sequencing technology and how you can use it in your research? Our training classes are a great way for beginners to learn about how NGS works, key differences compared to Sanger sequencing and other technologies, NGS workflow steps, and how to analyze your data.
To ensure you get the most out of the course material, we offer introductory classes tailored to various specialties and areas of interest.
Course details and availability
These courses are available in North and South America as well as in Europe. To explore other training opportunities, visit our NGS and microarray training page .
Typical agenda (topics covered): Our certified Illumina trainers generally start with an overview of the sequencing workflow and key applications of interest. They describe how Illumina sequencing technology works, discuss experimental design considerations, and explain how to analyze the data. Finally, they conclude with a course summary.
Delivery method: Available as a remote online training course or in-person at your local Illumina Solutions Center.

Intro to NGS: DNA
Content: Overview of complete DNA NGS workflows (sample prep, sequencers, and data analysis) with a focus on experimental design considerations, possible applications of DNA NGS, and key things you want to consider to be successful in NGS.
Audience: Life scientists who have no or very limited experience with NGS, but who would like to gain an understanding of the technology.
Why should you attend: To obtain a practical understanding of the lllumina sequencing workflow and learn how you can successfully implement NGS in your own lab.
Note that in order to run this session, we need a min. number of four participants. If the number of confirmed registrations is below the minimum, the class will be cancelled, and you will be offered a place in the next class or have the option to cancel your order.
Intro to NGS: RNA
