Description
The AutoDELFIA® Neonatal 17α-OH-Progesterone (17-OHP) is designed to support newborn screening programs in the early detection of Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), a group of genetic disorders that affect the adrenal glands’ ability to produce vital hormones. Early identification of CAH through newborn screening is critical, as undiagnosed cases can lead to potentially life-threatening complications. By enabling timely diagnosis, the kit supports the implementation of appropriate treatment strategies, improving long-term health outcomes for affected infants.
This kit is intended for the quantitative determination of human 17-OH-progesterone in dried blood spot (DBS) specimens collected on filter paper. The assay is specifically optimized for use with the 1235 AutoDELFIA® automatic immunoassay system, ensuring seamless integration into routine newborn screening workflows. The AutoDELFIA platform offers high-throughput capability, automation, and reliability, making it an ideal choice for laboratories handling large volumes of newborn samples.
The AutoDELFIA Neonatal 17α-OHP kit employs time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) technology, which delivers sensitive and specific results with excellent reproducibility. TRF technology minimizes background interference, enhancing signal clarity and ensuring laboratories can rely on the accuracy of their data. This robustness is especially important for screening programs where consistency and reliability are paramount.
Each kit is carefully designed to provide the materials needed for efficient processing, supporting laboratories in achieving both high accuracy and productivity.
As part of Revvity’s comprehensive newborn screening portfolio, the AutoDELFIA Neonatal 17α-OHP kit reflects decades of expertise and innovation in supporting laboratories worldwide. By combining proven immunoassay technology, automation, and regulatory compliance, this solution empowers newborn screening programs to deliver timely, reliable results and safeguard the health of newborns everywhere.
