Clipster size L replacement blades support routine maintenance of the manual Clipster aseptic disconnection tool. The blade is a cutting component for the size L hand-held tool, not an independent sterile connector or a complete disconnection device. A properly maintained cutting edge helps the mechanism perform its intended tubing separation after the matching Clipster disconnector has been positioned on a compatible transfer line. The size L configuration is associated with larger validated tubing dimensions, including 3/8 inch ID by 5/8 inch OD and 1/2 inch ID by 3/4 inch OD. Use the correct blade variant for the hand tool rather than substituting the XS/S blade. Inspect the tool and blade before use, keep the cutting area free of debris, and follow the established maintenance procedure when replacing a worn component. A replacement blade restores the tool's cutting function without replacing the single-use disconnectors required at each separation point.
