The Sartorius Flexel Magnetic Mixer 2,000 L single-use mixing bag incorporates a thermowell for temperature monitoring and Tri-Clamp sanitary connections for large-scale media and buffer preparation. The configuration has no drain valve and includes a defined inlet/outlet and sampling arrangement, rather than the standard sensor-free silicone/TPE variant. The thermowell permits temperature measurement without direct sensor contact with the process liquid, supporting control of mixing steps affected by temperature. The bag should be installed in a qualified Magnetic Mixer station and compatible support vessel, with sufficient headspace and approved mechanical loading for the full process volume. During setup, inspect the thermowell, film, gasketed sanitary ports, sampling line and tubing for damage or incorrect routing. Verify the sensor geometry and temperature measurement response, then qualify the mixing cycle for dissolution, homogeneity, foam and product stability. The preassembled 2,000 L bag is a single-use component, not a stand-alone mixer drive.
