Answer:The Octet R8 uses label-free Bio-Layer Interferometry with optical biosensors.
Answer:The instrument has eight independent optical measurement channels.
Answer:Yes. It supports kinetic and affinity measurements and protein quantitation with suitable biosensors and assay methods.
The Sartorius Octet R8 is an eight-channel, label-free biomolecular interaction analysis system based on Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI). Disposable optical biosensors measure binding changes in real time, enabling association-rate, dissociation-rate and affinity analysis as well as protein quantitation. Eight independent channels allow parallel measurements with samples presented in a 96-well microplate. Applications include antibody screening, kinetic characterization, IgG concentration measurement and epitope binning during biologics research and development. GxP-oriented software and qualification options are available separately; regulatory functionality should not be assumed to be included with every instrument configuration.
