Wako, 030-23203, (1,5-Cyclooctadiene)(pyridine)(tricyclohexylphosphine)iridium(I) Hexafluorophosphate

This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human., It is one of homogeneous hydrogenation catalysts and is known as the Crabtree's catalyst, 1), ., As the Crabtree's catalyst is a cationic complex, it binds to coordinating functional groups such as the hydroxyl group, causing the surface-selective hydrogenation of a double bond. In addition, although it is generally difficult to reduce low-reacting tetrasubstituted olefins using the Wilkinson's catalyst, the Crabtree's catalyst allows the progression of these reactions of the tetrasubstituted olefins., Reference 1) Crabtree, R.
