Answer:It is 2.1 mm × 5 mm, with 1.7 µm particles and 130 Å pores.
Answer:It uses a direct-connect endfitting at the ACQUITY UPLC analytical-column inlet.
Answer:The phase supports pH 1–12.
ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 VanGuard Pre-column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk is designed for protecting compatible ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 analytical columns while retaining matching reversed-phase selectivity. The guard uses 1.7 µm spherical bridged-ethylene-hybrid particles with a 130 Å pore size and a trifunctionally bonded, endcapped C18 stationary phase. Its 2.1 mm internal diameter and 5 mm bed length provide a compact guard format. A direct-connect endfitting attaches the VanGuard pre-column to the analytical-column inlet, reducing additional connection volume and possible leak points. The phase supports pH 1–12, a maximum pressure of 18,000 psi (1240 bar), and the USP L1 classification. Low silanol activity and low column bleed support sensitive reversed-phase UPLC and MS methods when used with compatible equipment. The pack contains three guards. This product protects the analytical column from contaminants; it is not a 50 mm or 150 mm analytical column and should not be confused with a different particle-size or stationary-phase guard.
