Answer:Basic compounds can benefit from the CSH surface because it is designed to improve peak shape and loading behavior.
Answer:The column supports up to 18,000 psi (1240 bar) and a pH range of 1–11.
Answer:It uses 1.7 µm hybrid particles with a 130 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID × 50 mm format.
ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk is used for high-efficiency reversed-phase UPLC and UHPLC separations when alternate C18 selectivity and improved behavior for basic compounds are required. The column uses CSH hybrid particle technology with an endcapped C18 phase. The spherical particles are 1.7 µm with a 130 Å pore size, low silanol activity, and a 15% carbon load. The compact 2.1 mm inner diameter × 50 mm format supports fast analytical separations, while the column is rated to 18,000 psi (1240 bar) for sub-2 µm operation. The supported pH range is 1–11. The CSH surface is designed to address peak-shape asymmetry and poor loading behavior for basic compounds while also reducing column bleed and supporting rapid mobile-phase re-equilibration. These characteristics make the column useful for fast method development, impurity profiling, and routine UPLC/UHPLC assays where basic analytes can be difficult on conventional reversed-phase materials. The broad pH window and high pressure tolerance provide additional flexibility when optimizing retention and selectivity. The column includes eCord functionality and carries USP L1 classification.
