Product details:
These Multipurpose Mini Spin Columns (ab286861) offer a convenient option to purify target proteins by multiple small scale laboratory techniques. Along with affinity purification and recombinant protein purification, these columns can also be used for techniques like immunoprecipitation, desalting etc. Suitable for protein activity and functional studies that rely largely on the availability of purified proteins.
These spin columns are constructed of polypropylene with a polyethylene FRIT. They have a porosity of 20 µm and a total bed volume of 700 µl. Each of these columns can be packed with a variety of media/beads for centrifugation-based separation of biomolecules. The columns are equipped with tight top screw caps and a bottom plugs making them ideal for storage of beads/media in buffers, incubation of beads with biological samples, etc.
Salient Features:
Column Material: Polypropylene
FRIT Material: Polyethylene (PE)
Porosity: 20 µm
Bed Volume: 700 µl
Selected Applications:
- Immunoprecipitation and co-immunoprecipitation with protein A/G beads
- Antibody purification using protein A, G, L beads
- Affinity protein purification with beads like the EZEnrich™ Polyubiquitin Beads.
- Protein/DNA desalting using Sephadex G25 or Sephadex G50.
- Recombinant protein affinity purification of proteins with polyhistidine tag, GST tag, etc.
This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called 6572 Multipurpose Mini Spin Columns. 6572-50 is the same size as the 50 unit size of ab286861.
