Answer:The gas-line reducing filter uses a nominal 2 µm screening element.
Answer:It is associated with 1/8 inch to 1/16 inch Valco-type reducing gas-line connections.
Answer:No. It is a gas-line filter used in analytical gas plumbing.
The Agilent Stainless Steel Reducing Gas-Line Filter is a compact particulate filtration component for analytical gas plumbing. A 2 µm filtering screen helps intercept particles carried by a gas stream before they enter sensitive valves or connected components. The reducer-style filter uses a 1/8 inch connection at one end and a 1/16 inch connection at the other, accommodating the transition between differently sized lines in an appropriate Valco-type gas-flow assembly. This is a stainless steel component intended for gas handling rather than filtration of liquid chromatography mobile phases. During installation, confirm the connection arrangement, pressure suitability and gas compatibility of the complete system. Work with the gas supply isolated, use the correctly specified ferrules and verify that connections are leak-tight after reassembly. Inspect or replace the filter when a restriction or particulate contamination is suspected. It is not an oxygen-removal cartridge, molecular-sieve gas purifier or a general-purpose liquid filter.
