Application Note

Agilent conical glass inserts help autosamplers recover limited liquid sample volumes from compatible wide-opening chromatography vials. Each insert holds up to 250 µL, measures approximately 5.6 × 30 mm and incorporates polymer feet for stable positioning inside the parent vial. The glass section uses borosilicate material, while high-density polyethylene feet reduce movement during normal tray handling. The tapered bottom concentrates low-volume samples near the injection needle, helping conserve valuable standards, extracts and research samples. Laboratories can use these inserts in HPLC, UHPLC and suitable GC autosampling workflows where a full-size vial contains more empty volume than the method requires. The package contains 100 inserts, not 100 complete vials; appropriate outer vials, closures and autosampler compatibility must be considered separately.
