Answer:Helium, argon and nitrogen cylinders using the U.S.-standard CGA 580 connection.
Answer:A 1/8 inch outlet, with a maximum rated delivery pressure of 125 psig.
Answer:Brass body and bonnets, stainless steel diaphragms and PTFE seats.
The Agilent Two-Stage CGA 580 Gas Cylinder Regulator delivers controlled supply pressure from compatible helium, argon or nitrogen gas cylinders for laboratory analytical instrumentation. Its two-stage pressure-reduction design helps maintain stable downstream pressure as cylinder pressure decreases during use. The regulator uses a U.S.-standard CGA 580 cylinder connection and a 1/8 inch outlet configuration, with a maximum rated delivery pressure of 125 psig. The body and bonnets are brass, with stainless steel diaphragms and PTFE seats. Stable gas delivery is important for gas chromatographs, detectors and other analytical systems where changes in carrier or support gas pressure can influence performance. Confirm that the cylinder gas, valve connection, outlet fitting and instrument pressure requirements match before installation. Secure the cylinder, install the regulator using approved gas-handling procedures and perform an appropriate leak check after connecting the gas line. Do not use this regulator for a gas with a different cylinder connection or incompatible material requirements. The regulator controls pressure but is not an in-line gas purifier or substitute for moisture, oxygen and hydrocarbon traps when high gas purity is required.
