Answer:Lithium-6, scandium, germanium, rhodium, indium, terbium, lutetium and bismuth are each present at 100 µg/mL.
Answer:The mixture is supplied as 100 mL in a 10% nitric acid matrix.
Answer:No. It provides internal reference signals for drift and matrix-effect correction; separate analyte standards are still required.
The Agilent multielement internal standard mixture supports inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry by providing reference signals for correction of matrix-related signal suppression, instrument drift and variations in sample introduction. The 100 mL solution contains eight internal standard components—lithium-6, scandium, germanium, rhodium, indium, terbium, lutetium and bismuth—each at 100 µg/mL in a 10% nitric acid matrix. Select internal standard isotopes that are absent or sufficiently low in the sample and that provide appropriate mass-range coverage for the analytical method. Prepare the working dilution using acid-clean labware and high-purity reagents, then introduce the standards consistently into blanks, calibration solutions and unknown samples. Evaluate isotope overlap, carryover and signal recovery before routine reporting. This mixture is intended for internal signal normalization, not as an analyte calibration standard for the target elements. Handle the nitric acid matrix with suitable chemical protection.
