Answer:Reversed-phase LC with C18 stationary-phase chemistry.
Answer:4.6 × 150 mm, 2.7 µm superficially porous particles, 120 Å pores.
Answer:No. It separates peptides produced by a separate digestion workflow.
The Agilent AdvanceBio Peptide Mapping C18 Column is a reversed-phase LC separation tool for peptide mixtures generated during protein characterization. The 4.6 × 150 mm column contains 2.7 µm superficially porous particles with a 120 Å pore structure and C18 surface chemistry. This stationary phase supports resolution of peptides produced by controlled enzymatic digestion, making the column useful for sequence coverage studies, comparability assessments and monitoring selected protein modifications. Peptides are retained through hydrophobic interactions and typically eluted with a controlled gradient of aqueous and organic mobile phases. Reproducible digestion conditions, mobile-phase quality and gradient timing are essential for stable peptide maps. Filter or centrifuge digests to remove insoluble material before injection, and avoid injecting excessive amounts of salts or detergent. Verify instrument dwell volume and detector conditions when transferring a method between systems. This product is the chromatography column for separating peptide digests; it does not digest proteins and is not an ion-exchange or size-exclusion column.
