Agilent ZORBAX StableBond CN guard cartridges contain a cyano-bonded silica phase designed to protect compatible analytical HPLC columns from contaminants and strongly retained sample components. Each replaceable ZGC cartridge has a 12.5 × 4.6 mm bed with 5 µm fully porous particles and 80 Å pores. The package includes four cartridges rated to 400 bar. The SB-CN phase supports normal-phase, reversed-phase and SFC method development under suitable conditions, with a stated pH range of 1–8. The short replaceable format is a guard cartridge rather than a complete analytical column; it should be installed using the matching ZGC hardware.
