Answer:Agilent ELSD models G4261A, G4261B and G7102A.
Answer:It converts liquid chromatographic effluent into droplets before solvent evaporation and light-scattering detection.
Answer:No. It is a replacement nebulizer assembly for a compatible detector.
The Agilent ELSD Nebulizer Assembly is a replacement fluid-to-aerosol interface for compatible evaporative light scattering detectors used in liquid chromatography. During ELSD operation, liquid chromatographic effluent is nebulized into droplets before mobile-phase evaporation and optical measurement of residual nonvolatile analyte particles. A correctly functioning nebulizer helps maintain consistent aerosol formation, peak shape, detector sensitivity and repeatability. This assembly is intended for Agilent ELSD models G4261A, G4261B and G7102A. It is useful when routine troubleshooting identifies reduced nebulization performance, unstable baseline behavior or a damaged nebulizer assembly. Verify the detector model before service and follow instrument maintenance procedures when removing, cleaning or replacing components. Use compatible mobile phases and appropriate nebulizing-gas supply conditions to reduce deposit formation and maintain reliable operation. ELSD is particularly useful when analytes have weak or absent ultraviolet chromophores, provided they are sufficiently nonvolatile for detection. The nebulizer assembly is a detector repair part and does not replace the complete optical bench, detector electronics or liquid chromatograph.
