Avantor Hichrom Partisil SCX is a strong cation-exchange HPLC column for separations based on the positive charge of analytes rather than hydrophobic reversed-phase retention. The analytical column contains 10 µm silica-based SCX packing in a 250 × 4.6 mm format with Whatman Cartridge System (WCS) hardware. The approximately 85 Å packing supports established ion-exchange chromatography methods and methods requiring the Partisil SCX stationary phase. The SCX chemistry must not be confused with Partisil ODS, Partisphere C18 or other differently bonded phases.
