The VWR Class A tall-form measuring cylinder is a 1,000 mL graduated glass vessel for accurately measuring liquid volumes during routine laboratory preparation. It is manufactured from borosilicate 3.3 glass and uses 10 mL graduations, with a specified ±5 mL tolerance for the full-capacity configuration. Its calibration is to contain (TC/In) under the relevant reference conditions, not to deliver a precisely measured volume after pouring. The tall cylindrical profile has a hexagonal glass base for bench stability, a pouring spout, and blue graduations with prominent ring marks. The cylinder conforms to DIN 12680 and is supplied with a batch number and batch certificate. Use it on a level surface, read the meniscus at eye height, and avoid heating or handling practices that could affect accuracy or damage the glass. Clean thoroughly between incompatible solutions. Supplied as one cylinder.
