Description

Pipette tips and filter tips from BRAND offer reliable quality for precise and demanding analyses. The raw materials are free from DiHEMDA und Oleamid. Tips are manufactured at BRAND under monitored cleanroom conditions and are automatically packaged. No parting agents or demolding aids are used. BRAND offers pipette tips for volumes from 0.1 μl to 10 ml and filter tips for volumes from 0.1 μl to 1250 μl. They are tested for BRAND pipettes and many pipette from other manufacturers. BRAND pipette tips and filter tips as well as the corresponding TipBoxes are autoclavable at 121 °C (2 bar) acc. DIN EN 285.
Sterile tips are manufactured under certified BIO-CERT® quality. They are sterilized with beta radiation according to ISO 11 137 and the AAMI Guidelines.
As refill systems, TipStack, TipRack and TipRack Eco are available. TipRack Eco uses refill units made from 90% renewable raw-materials.
Non-self-sealing filter tips from BRAND have a PE filter that is free from chemical additives. Permeability is controlled by the distinct combination of pore size and filter length, so that no aerosols can reach the pipette shaft.

Application Note

BRAND BIO-CERT sterile filter pipette tips support contamination-conscious liquid handling across molecular biology, PCR setup and routine laboratory workflows. The colorless polypropylene tips cover the 5–200 µL volume range and contain additive-free polyethylene aerosol barriers that reduce the risk of liquid and aerosol transfer into the pipette shaft. Each tip measures 53 mm in length and is arranged in a yellow-coded TipBox rack for convenient bench access. The BIO-CERT liquid handling quality level includes testing for human DNA, RNase, DNase, pyrogens, PCR inhibitors and ATP. The sterile configuration is supplied as 960 tips in ten boxes of 96, suitable for repeatable pipetting with compatible instruments.
