Description
Compare key features of the three Biacore™ 1 series configurations: This one-needle SPR platform comes in three system configurations, Biacore™ 1K, Biacore™ 1K+ and Biacore™ 1S+, with increasing flexibility in assay design, throughput, capacity and analysis temperature. Biacore™ 1K Biacore™ 1K+ Biacore™ 1S+ Specification description and impact Dissociation rate 10 ^-6 to 1 s ^-1 10 ^-6 to 1 s ^-1 10 ^-6 to 6 s ^-1 10 ^-6 to 1 s ^-1 allows you to reliable determine molecules with very fast and slow off-rates. Affinity range fM to mM fM to mM fM to mM Exceptional dynamic range allows you to measure abroad range of molecules in pure or crude samples Short term noise Typically < 0.03 RU (RMS) Typically < 0.03 RU (RMS) Typically < 0.01 RU (RMS) Value < 0.01 allows you to separate sensorgrams and measure interactions down to milli-resonance unit (mRU), well suited for interactions with really slow off rates. Analysis temperature 25°C to 37°C 25°C to 37°C 4°C to 40°C Temperature controlled compartments for samples and analysis, ensure molecule stability and allows you to measure interactions with molecules in native and active stage. Data collection rate 1 or 10 Hz 1 or 10 Hz 1, 10 or 40 Hz A data collection rate of 40 Hz increases the resolution of interactions and improves the accuracy of rapid on- and off-rate determinations. Sample capacity 1 × 96- or 384-well microplate 1 × reagent rack with 21 to 43 positions 2 × 96- or 384-well microplate 2 × reagent rack with 21 to 43 positions 2 × 96- or 384-well microplate 2 × reagent rack with 21 to 43 positions Increase flexibility in sample capacity and volume, with opportunity to run of up to 768 interactions in one go. Six flow cells addressing Individually as single flow cells or pairwise Individually as single flow cells, pairwise or all flow cells in series. Individually as single flow cells, pairwise or all flow cells in series. Six flow cells increase analytical capacity – saving assay time, sample quantity, and sensor chips, and enables multiplexing capability. Unattended run time 60 h 72 h 72 h Increase throughput and analytical efficiency with method queueing capabilities with a minimum of manual intervention.
