Its variable-volume piston mechanism supports precise transfer of aqueous buffers, enzyme reaction mixtures, standards and aliquots during everyday benchtop procedures. The lightweight body, low operating forces and spring-loaded tip cone support comfortable repetitive pipetting while promoting consistent tip attachment. Select a compatible disposable tip, set the target volume within the specified range and pre-wet the tip when appropriate for the liquid. Aspirate with a steady plunger movement and an upright pipette; dispense against the receiving vessel using a consistent technique. Maintain pipette performance through routine cleaning, leak checks and periodic gravimetric verification under laboratory quality procedures. This is an air-displacement pipette for a single channel, not a multichannel unit or a positive-displacement instrument.
