Answer:It is an adjustable single-channel pipette for 100–1000 µL transfers.
Answer:No. A lower-volume pipette is needed because 20 µL is below its 100 µL minimum setting.
Answer:Use compatible 1 mL tips, pre-wet when appropriate, keep aspiration consistent and verify calibration at scheduled intervals.
The Eppendorf Research plus single-channel variable-volume pipette covers 100 to 1000 µL transfers for buffer preparation, serial dilution, culture-media handling and routine sample processing. A manually adjusted piston and air-displacement mechanism make the pipette suitable for common aqueous solutions in laboratory tubes, microplates and reagent containers. The ergonomic mechanical design combines low operating force with a spring-loaded tip cone to assist secure tip fitting and ejection. Set a volume inside the specified range before aspiration and match the disposable tip to the pipette's 1 mL capacity. Hold the instrument vertically when aspirating and dispense at a consistent speed to reduce variability between operators. Calibration checks should use appropriate gravimetric methods and the laboratory's defined acceptance criteria. The pipette is not designed to dispense volumes below 100 µL; a smaller-volume model is preferable for low-volume additions. Use suitable containment and disposable tips when handling biological samples.
