Answer:Diethylaminopropyl functional groups on silica provide the ion-exchange functionality.
Answer:It is a 150 × 4.6 mm column packed with 5 µm, 100 Å silica particles.
Answer:The stated pH range is 2–7.5, with a maximum operating pressure of 20 MPa (200 bar).
GL Sciences Inertsil AX is an ion-exchange analytical HPLC column with diethylaminopropyl functional groups bonded to high-purity silica. The 5 µm particles, 100 Å pores and 150 × 4.6 mm dimensions provide a dedicated stationary phase for analytes that respond to anion-exchange interactions. The specified ion-exchange capacity is 0.4 meq/g; the operating pH range is 2–7.5 and the maximum pressure is 20 MPa (200 bar). The AX chemistry should not be confused with C18 reversed-phase silica or a strong quaternary-ammonium exchange phase. One complete analytical column is supplied.
