Lonza BioWhittaker CHO 7 Lipids is a twofold-concentrated lipid supplement intended for suitable Chinese hamster ovary cell-culture media formulations. This configuration contains 20 mL of lipid concentrate in one bottle and can be purchased separately or supplied as part of a compatible CHO powder-medium kit. Lipid supplementation supports membrane biosynthesis and other cellular functions during high-density CHO cultivation. It is used in bioprocess workflows focused on recombinant protein expression and culture performance when the chosen basal medium requires this component. The supplement belongs to the CHO media formulation system rather than serving as a standalone serum-free basal medium. Its concentrated form allows incorporation into the complete medium at the required proportion. It is suitable for research or further manufacturing use, not direct administration to people.
