Description
Product Overview Adipogenic Induction Medium is a component of the hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation BulletKit® , and is availalbe separately here. Stem cells possess the unique ability to differentiate into multiple lineages of cells including adipocytes. Lonza’s hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation BulletKit® Medium is a serum containing media system designed to induce adipogenic differentiation of human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells into mature, functionally active adipocytes in as few as 19 days. Differentiation can then be validated by a variety of methods including the use of Lonza’s AdipoRed TM Adipogenic Assay Reagent which provides a quantitative value related to the amount of adipogenic differentiation. Partial list of cells differentiated with hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation BulletKit® Medium*: Human bone marrow derived stem cells C57BL/6 mice bone marrow derived stem cells human adipose derived stem cells Human periodontal ligament derived stem cells Human hamstring tendon derived stem cells The hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation BulletKit® Medium provides both an induction medium and a maintenance medium guaranteed to induce adipogenic differentiation of human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells into mature, functionally active adipocytes; Each bottle of the hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation BulletKit® Medium contains enough induction medium and maintenance medium to fully differentiate approximately 3 million human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells [approximately 15 wells in a 6-well plate format] into mature, functionally active adipocytes. The hMSC Adipogenic Differentiation Medium is offered as a BulletKit® Medium (catalog no. PT-3004) which includes both the basal media for induction and maintenance and the necessary supplements for both adipogenic induction and maintenance of human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells. Lonza guarantees the performance of Clonetics® /Poietics® cells only if appropriate Clonetics® /Poietics® media and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees. If you need assistance in selecting the appropriate media, reagents, or protocol, please contact Lonza Scientific Support . * List of cells generated from customer data. Lonza only routinely uses this medium with Lonza’s human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells and can therefore only guarantee the successful use of this media with these cells.
