Application
Metabolite profiling and histochemical localization of alkaloids in Hippeastrum papilio (Ravena) van Scheepen.: This study employed Dragendorff′s reagent for the histochemical localization of alkaloids in the plant species, providing insights into the distribution and concentration of these compounds (Haist et al., 2024).
Acetogenins from the Stem of Uvaria rufa and Their Cytotoxic Activity.: This research identified and characterized acetogenins from Uvaria rufa using Dragendorff′s reagent among other methods, highlighting its utility in detecting these potent compounds with potential therapeutic applications (Gurgul et al., 2024).
A novel smartphone HPTLC assaying platform versus traditional densitometric method for simultaneous quantification of alfuzosin and solifenacin in their dosage forms as well as monitoring content uniformity and drug residues on the manufacturing equipment.: Incorporates Dragendorff′s reagent in a novel high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) method for drug quantification, enhancing the flexibility and accessibility of pharmaceutical analysis (Wadie et al., 2023).
Rapid Detection and Determination of Scopolamine in the Leaf Extract of Black Henbane (Hyoscyamus niger L.) Plants Using a Novel Nanosensor.: This study uses Dragendorff′s reagent in a novel nanosensor for the rapid detection of scopolamine, demonstrating its critical role in developing new analytical technologies (Mousavizadeh et al., 2022).
Structural and histochemical aspects in leaves of six species of Anemia (Anemiaceae) occurring in rocky outcrops.: Examines the structural and chemical properties of Anemia plants, utilizing Dragendorff′s reagent to reveal the presence and distribution of specific phytochemicals within the plants (Moraes Neto et al., 2022).
