Durapore hydrophilic PVDF screen filters provide a 0.22 µm membrane medium for removal of microorganisms and fine particles from compatible aqueous biological solutions. The plain white membrane measures 293 mm in diameter and can be installed in an appropriately sized filtration holder or process assembly. Hydrophilic polyvinylidene fluoride offers low protein binding relative to some alternative membrane materials and supports filtration of sensitive solutions when appropriately validated. Applications include bioburden reduction and sterilizing filtration process development, subject to the filter-holder design, pressure conditions and required integrity or microbial retention qualification. The membrane is a flat screen filter, not a pleated cartridge or ready-to-use capsule. Check wetting, support screen placement and sealing to avoid bypass around the membrane edge. Its nominal pore size does not by itself certify a complete sterile filtration process. Each package contains 25 membranes. Store in a clean, dry location and verify the supplied lot's packaging and sterility status before use.
