Answer:The certified reference value is pH 7.00 at 20°C.
Answer:The ready-to-use buffer is supplied in a 1 L plastic bottle.
Answer:Yes. It is a traceable certified reference material for pH measurements.
Merck Certipur pH 7.00 buffer solution is a ready-to-use certified reference material for checking and calibrating pH-measurement systems. The phosphate-based formulation contains disodium hydrogen phosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate, with a defined pH of 7.00 at 20°C. The 1 L bottle supports routine instrument calibration, electrode performance checks and laboratory quality-control programs requiring a traceable neutral-pH reference point. Its certified value is linked to recognized reference standards and should be interpreted at the specified temperature; the electrode and meter must still be maintained and calibrated correctly. For multi-point pH calibration, pair this buffer with other suitable certified buffers that bracket the expected sample range. Pour a clean working aliquot rather than returning used solution to the stock bottle. Avoid contamination by residual rinse water or carryover from other calibration liquids, and close the bottle promptly. This is a measurement reference solution, not a generic process buffer for biological experiments.
