This cell line is an Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transformed lymphoblastoid line and is part of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Typed Collection maintained by the European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC). HLA-Typing Data is available for this cell line.
Preparation NoteRPMI 1640 (R0883) + 2mM Glutamine (G7513) + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (F2442). Once a growing culture is established the FBS concentration can be reduced to 10%.
Maintain cultures between 3x10⁵ - 2x10⁶ cells/ml, 5% CO2, 37 °C. Upon resuscitation remove cryoprotectant - centrifuge at 300 x g for 5 minutes and re-suspend the cell pellet in fresh culture medium.
