Metrohm, 6.034.4100, Generator electrode with diaphragm

Metrohm generator electrode with diaphragm supports coulometric Karl Fischer water determination in compatible titration cells. During coulometry, the generator electrode electrochemically produces the iodine used to react with water in the sample, enabling measurement of very low absolute water amounts. The diaphragm separates electrode compartments and makes the design suitable for particular reagent and sample chemistries, including oil samples, ketone-containing media and poorly conducting solutions containing substantial chloroform or xylene. Its connection is SGJ 29/22. The generator electrode is a cell component for coulometric titration, not a volumetric Karl Fischer titrant or indicator electrode.
