Answer:The analytical column is 100 mm long with a 4.6 mm internal diameter.
Answer:It is used for anion chromatography, including selected inorganic and oxidizable anions such as nitrite, chlorite and thiocyanate under suitable methods.
Answer:Yes. The Super-Sep Guard/4.6 is designed to protect the Super-Sep 100/4.6 analytical column.
The Metrohm Super-Sep 100/4.6 is an analytical anion-exchange column for ion chromatography. Its 100 mm column length and 4.6 mm internal diameter suit separation of inorganic and other anionic species using an appropriate IC eluent and conductivity-detection workflow. The Super-Sep selectivity is applicable to anions including nitrite, chlorite, thiosulfate, thiocyanate and iodide in suitable methods, and to selected inorganic anions in water analysis. A compatible guard column can help protect the analytical separation bed against particulate and strongly retained sample components. Efficient use depends on matching mobile-phase composition, flow rate, injection volume and detector conditions to the specific chromatographic method. The column is not a conventional reversed-phase HPLC column or a generic cation separator. For method transfer, verify separation performance with appropriate standards and avoid introducing samples that could foul the ion-exchange packing.
