Description
Features and Benefits
Accuracy
The Inframatic 9500 combines modern electronics with precision optical components to deliver high-quality spectral data. Stable scanning-grating optics and advanced chemometric models work together to provide reliable measurement of key grain parameters, supporting confident grading and quality decisions.
Reliability
The Inframatic 9500 is engineered for demanding grain handling environments. Its robust construction and sealed module design help protect critical components while standardized architecture simplifies servicing and supports long-term operational stability.
Rapid Analysis
Short analysis times and straightforward sample handling enable fast measurement of whole grain samples. This allows operators to quickly assess grain quality and maintain efficient workflows at intake points, elevators, and processing facilities.
NIR Networking
Centralized networking capabilities allow laboratories and grain operations to manage calibrations and monitor instrument performance across multiple locations. Ethernet connectivity enables remote access and streamlined administration, supporting consistent operation across instrument fleets.
Calibration Transferability
The optical housing is machined from a solid metal block to maintain precise alignment and instrument consistency. Combined with wavelength calibration using NIST traceable standards, this design supports strong calibration transferability between instruments and across networks.
Ease of Use
A large color touch screen and intuitive interface simplify routine analysis. Operators simply select the grain type and load the sample into the funnel, allowing rapid measurement without complex setup or parameter adjustments.
Official Approvals
The IM 9500 has received regulatory approvals for use in commercial grain trading in multiple countries. These approvals reflect compliance with national measurement standards and support the use of IM 9500 data in official grain grading and trading applications.
Recognized approvals include:
Austria – Approved by BEV (Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen) for moisture testing in commercial grain trading. Approval number: BEV 3904/2013
Australia – Approved for moisture determination. Approval number: NMI 15/1/5
Czech Republic – Approved for moisture analysis. Approval number: TCM 341/14-5203
France – Approved for moisture analysis. Approval number: LNE-27380
Germany – Approved by Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) for official moisture analysis in grain trade. Approval number: PTB 11.26/13.01
Serbia – Approved for moisture determination. Approval number: 393-7/0-01-906
United States – NTEP approved for analysis of a wide range of grains and oilseeds. Approval number: NTEP CC No. 13-112
These approvals help ensure that IM 9500 measurements can be confidently used within regulated grain markets.
Networking
The IM 9500 is designed to operate within instrument networks used by grain organizations, laboratories, and national grading systems. Many installations worldwide operate multiple instruments connected through centralized management.
NetPlus Remote enables network administration and remote instrument management across single facilities or large instrument fleets. Calibration distribution, performance monitoring, and configuration management can all be handled centrally.
For users who need broader visibility into results, NetPlus Reports provides web-based access to analysis data, allowing authorized users to review results and monitor performance from virtually any location.
Together, these tools help maintain consistent operation and simplify management across distributed instrument networks.
Operation and Handling
The IM 9500 is engineered for use at grain receival points and laboratory environments where instruments must handle frequent use and demanding conditions. Its design emphasizes durability, straightforward operation, and efficient workflows.
Simple three-step operation
Select the grain type
Pour the sample and press Analyze
View results on the display and empty the sample box
Analysis is completed in less than 30 seconds, allowing rapid grain grading and high throughput during busy intake periods.
The adjustable display can be positioned for operator comfort, moving up or down, forward or back, and tilting for optimal visibility in different work environments.
Flour Analysis Capability
With the optional Flour Module, the IM 9500 can also analyze flour samples for parameters such as moisture, protein, and ash.
This expands the instrument’s role beyond grain intake, allowing flour millers to use the same platform for both incoming wheat grading and process monitoring within the mill.
The module includes two sample cells and a loading station. The operator fills a cell, closes it, and inserts it into the instrument funnel. Results are displayed within seconds, enabling rapid and convenient flour analysis.
