Phenomenex SphereClone ODS(2) is a reversed-phase HPLC analytical column packed with octadecyl-bonded silica in the ODS(2) phase configuration. It contains 3 µm particles with 80 Å pores in a 100 × 4.6 mm column. The C18 surface provides hydrophobic retention for suitable small-molecule methods, while the 100 mm length offers a shorter analytical format than conventional 150 or 250 mm columns. ODS(2) should be treated as the specified bonded-phase chemistry for method matching, rather than automatically substituted with another C18 packing. The product is a full analytical column.
