Phenomenex BioSep SEC-s3000 is an aqueous gel-filtration chromatography column for size-based separation of proteins and other biomolecules. This configuration measures 7.8 × 300 mm and contains 5 µm packing with approximately 290 Å pores. The SEC-s3000 stationary phase is suitable for investigating protein size variants, aggregation, and distribution of biopolymer species under non-denaturing buffer conditions. It is classified as USP L33 and has an indicated exclusion limit of about 700,000 Da. Published applications include separations of immunoglobulins, thyroglobulin, albumin, and other protein standards using aqueous phosphate or Tris-based mobile phases. The analytical column is supplied as one unit. Compatible SecurityGuard GFC cartridges can be used for sample-matrix protection when the appropriate holder and packing are selected.
