Description
QuantiFERON Monitor (QFM) test is an innovative in vitro diagnostic test that detects interferon γ (IFNγ) following incubation of heparinized whole blood with innate and adaptive immune response stimulants.
Use QFM to assess cell-mediated immune response in the immunosuppressed solid organ transplant population.
After incubation of heparinized whole blood with innate and adaptive immune response stimulants (Toll Like Receptor and T cell receptor agonists, respectively) QFM test detects cell-mediated immune function through the measurement of interferon gamma (IFNγ) in plasma by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
The QFM test is performed in stages: Collect whole blood into the QFM Blood Collection Tube. Add a QFM LyoSphere to the QFM Blood Collection Tube, and incubate the tube. After incubation, centrifuge the tube to isolate plasma. Measure IFNγ in the extracted plasma by ELISA and compare the responses to a range of expected values to characterize immune response of the subject.
