Answer:A porous 100% divinylbenzene polymer PLOT layer.
Answer:30 m long, 0.32 mm internal diameter and 10 µm porous layer.
Answer:Not reliably as distinct individual peaks under ambient-temperature conditions.
The Restek Rt-Q-BOND PLOT GC Column provides porous-layer open tubular chromatography for permanent gases, light hydrocarbons and selected volatile organic compounds. Its 30 m capillary length, 0.32 mm internal diameter and 10 µm porous layer use a divinylbenzene-based stationary phase rather than the thin liquid coating found in conventional wall-coated GC columns. The hydrophobic porous polymer provides retention for carbon dioxide and small hydrocarbons and can support separation of C1–C3 species, light hydrocarbon isomers and solvents under suitable operating conditions. Oxygen, nitrogen and carbon monoxide are not fully resolved at ambient temperature by this phase alone. Protect the column against mechanical disruption of the stationary layer and avoid reshaping the coil, which may dislodge porous particles. Select conditioning temperatures and carrier-gas settings within the qualified method limits. This is a PLOT separation column, not a molecular-sieve column or a nonpolar liquid-film column such as MXT-1.
