The Biowelder TC tube holder for 1/8-inch internal-diameter and 1/4-inch outer-diameter tubing positions compatible thermoplastic tubing within the Sartorius Biowelder Total Containment automated welding instrument. The corresponding metric dimensions are approximately 3.2 mm ID and 6.4 mm OD. This holder is used for fine-bore sampling and small-volume transfer lines, where a secure tube position is necessary for a repeatable sterile connection. The smaller lumen makes accurate positioning particularly important, because any twist or flattening can restrict a narrow fluid path. The instrument recognizes the installed holder size. Two matching holder components are supplied per box. Prepare clean, undamaged tube ends, select the compatible tubing type and verify the assigned weld program before operation. Inspect the tube segment for ovality or damage before loading and maintain the same tubing grade on both sides of the weld. This item is a reusable positioning accessory, not a complete welding machine, replacement blade, tubing assembly or sterile connector.
