Answer:It fits tubing with a nominal 1/4-inch (6.4 mm) internal diameter and 3/8-inch (9.6 mm) outer diameter.
Answer:No. It positions tubing inside a separate Sartorius Biowelder TC instrument.
Answer:The Sartorius ordering datasheet lists two tube-holder components per box.
The Biowelder TC tube holder for 1/4-inch internal-diameter and 3/8-inch outer-diameter tubing positions compatible thermoplastic tubing within the Sartorius Biowelder Total Containment automated welding instrument. The corresponding metric dimensions are approximately 6.4 mm ID and 9.6 mm OD. This holder is used for compact single-use process assemblies and intermediate sample connections, where a secure tube position is necessary for a repeatable sterile connection. The 3/8-inch outer diameter must be distinguished from the 7/16-inch option, even though both holders accept a 1/4-inch bore. The instrument recognizes the installed holder size. Two matching holder components are supplied per box. Prepare clean, undamaged tube ends, select the compatible tubing type and verify the assigned weld program before operation. Confirm the outer diameter with the tubing label or measurement; internal diameter alone cannot select the proper holder. This item is a reusable positioning accessory, not a complete welding machine, replacement blade, tubing assembly or sterile connector.
