The Sartocon Slice cassette holder is a reusable stainless-steel frame designed to clamp compatible Sartocon Slice cassettes for tangential flow filtration. The vertical holder arrangement is intended for low hold-up volume, venting and drainage in development and small-scale processing. It accommodates up to five Sartocon Slice cassettes, enabling an appropriate membrane area to be installed for the required application. The holder is not itself an ultrafiltration membrane: the cassette type, membrane chemistry and molecular-weight cutoff or pore size are selected and ordered separately. Assemble the unit with the specified feed, retentate and permeate connections, confirm gasket and cassette placement, and conduct pre-use integrity or leak testing as required by the process. Stainless-steel wetted components support cleaning, autoclaving and in-line steam sterilization within validated operating procedures.
