Description
The Biostat®B-DCU is a state-of-the-art, scalable bioreactor system engineered for biotech and biopharmaceutical development environments that demand precise, consistent and data-rich process control. Designed as a true scale-down model of manufacturing bioreactors, it helps you reliably transfer and characterize processes from lab to production.
Configurable for both microbial and mammalian cell culture processes, the Biostat®B-DCU can be equipped with a variety of vessel sizes and formats to match your development needs, from early screening to late-stage optimization. Multiple supply tower can be operated in parallel, enabling high-throughput comparative studies and Design of Experiments (DoE) approaches within a compact footprint.
Advanced aeration strategies are realized through intelligent mass flow controllers, giving you precise and reproducible control of gas composition and flow rates. This is complemented by BioPAT®sensor technologies, such as in-line glucose and viable biomass sensors, which provide real-time insight into key process variables. Continuous, high-quality data allow you to monitor cell growth, metabolism and product formation without interrupting the process, reducing manual sampling and variability.
The Biobrain®Supervise software platform ensures seamless integration of all bioreactor functions, from recipe management and cascade control to alarm handling and data logging. It supports 21 CFR Part 11-compliant user management, audit trails and electronic records, helping you meet regulatory requirements in GMP environments and facilitating smooth tech transfer into clinical and commercial manufacturing.
With its robust design, flexible configuration options and powerful analytics capabilities, the Biostat®B-DCU accelerates process development, improves comparability of experiments and supports sound risk-based decision-making. As a result, you gain higher process understanding, shorter development timelines and a more reliable path from lab-scale optimization to large-scale production.
