Cubis®III precision balances are designed for laboratories and production environments that require a combination of high weighing capacity, robust performance, and reliable precision. Positioned between analytical and high-capacity balances, they offer readabilities from 1 mg to 100 mg, with maximum loads that comfortably cover larger sample quantities, bulk materials, and containers. This makes them ideal for formulation and recipe work, check weighing and in‑process control, as well as general preparative and routine weighing tasks in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and academic laboratories.
At the core of each Cubis®III precision balance is a high‑stability weighing system engineered to deliver excellent repeatability and fast stabilization times, even with heavier loads. Optimized mechanics and advanced compensation algorithms reduce the influence of temperature drift, air currents, and vibrations. As a result, users can rely on consistent, reproducible results, whether the balance is installed in a dedicated lab, a pilot plant, or a production‑adjacent quality control area.
Cubis®III precision balances are available in a broad range of configurations to match specific process requirements. For balances with a readability of 1 mg different draft shields or for balances with a readability of 10 mg or 100 mg optional special grid weighing pans help ensure stable results and protect the weighing cell in more demanding environments. Features such as automatic internal adjustment and guided leveling support long‑term accuracy with minimal user intervention.
A key strength of the Cubis®III platform is its intelligent, method‑driven software. A high‑resolution touchscreen supports intuitive operation and guides users step by step through standard and customized workflows. Predefined applications for percent weighing, check weighing with tolerance limits, formulation, piece counting, and differential weighing help standardize routine tasks. Users can easily define their own methods, including prompts for sample IDs, batch numbers, or process steps, so that procedures are executed consistently and training requirements are reduced.
Data integrity and regulatory compliance are integral to Cubis®III precision balances, especially in GxP‑regulated environments. Comprehensive user management with role‑based access control, audit trails, and controlled method changes support operation under GLP, GMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. The balances offer flexible connectivity options—such as USB and Ethernet interfaces and support for standardized integration frameworks—making it straightforward to connect to LIMS, ELN, MES, or other digital systems. This minimizes manual data transcription, reduces errors, and enables secure, traceable electronic records throughout the entire weighing process.
By combining robust mechanics, high‑performance weighing technology, modular hardware options, and powerful, compliance‑ready software, Cubis®III precision balances provide a reliable foundation for both laboratory and production workflows. They help users improve efficiency, standardize processes, and ensure that results are accurate, reproducible, and fully traceable—supporting a smooth transition from development to scale‑up and routine manufacturing in the modern, connected laboratory landscape.
