Cubis®III high‑capacity balances are designed for laboratories, pilot plants, and production environments that need to weigh large loads without compromising on precision or data integrity. Combining robust mechanics with advanced weighing technology, they bridge the gap between classic laboratory balances and industrial scales. Typical applications include formulation and batch preparation, bulk material and container weighing, and check weighing of large packages or multi‑kilogram units in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and industrial settings.
At the core of each Cubis®III high‑capacity balances is a high‑stability weighing system that delivers excellent repeatability and fast stabilization times, even under heavy loads and frequent loading cycles. The durable platform construction and reinforced housing protect the weighing cell from mechanical stress, shocks, and everyday wear. Optimized compensation routines help reduce the influence of temperature changes, air currents, and vibrations, ensuring that results remain dependable even in production‑adjacent areas where conditions are less controlled than in a classical analytical lab.
Cubis®III high‑capacity balances are available in a range of maximum loads and readabilities, allowing users to select an instrument that precisely matches their process needs—from weighing large bottles and canisters to drums, trays, or bulky components. The platform supports ergonomic handling of large or awkward containers, while accessories such as display stands can further improve usability and safeguard the balance in demanding environments. Automatic internal adjustment and guided leveling functions help maintain accuracy over time with minimal operator effort.
A key strength of the Cubis®III platform is its intelligent, method‑driven software, which is also available on high‑capacity models. A clear, touchscreen‑based user interface guides operators step by step through predefined or custom workflows, such as formulation and recipe weighing, check weighing with tolerance limits, tare/net weighing of containers, differential weighing, and simple piece counting for heavy components. Methods can incorporate prompts for batch numbers, material IDs, and process steps to standardize procedures and reduce training needs, even for shift operators with varying experience levels.
Cubis®III high‑capacity balances are built with data integrity and regulatory compliance in mind, particularly for GxP‑regulated processes. Comprehensive user management with role‑based permissions, audit trails, and controlled method changes support operation in accordance with GLP, GMP, and 21 CFR Part 11. Extensive connectivity options—such as USB and Ethernet, and support for standardized integration frameworks—allow seamless communication with LIMS, ELN, MES, ERP, or other digital systems. This minimizes manual data entry, reduces transcription errors, and enables secure, traceable electronic records from the point of weighing through to batch documentation and release.
By combining high load capacity, laboratory‑grade precision, robust construction, and powerful, compliance‑ready software, Cubis®III high‑capacity balances provide a reliable foundation for critical weighing steps along the entire value chain. They help organizations standardize and digitize their weighing processes, improve efficiency and auditability, and ensure that even the heaviest samples and containers are weighed accurately, reproducibly, and fully traceably in modern, connected laboratory and production environments.
