The Sartorius Flexel 650 L single-use Magnetic Mixer bag is a preconfigured fluid-contact assembly for large-scale media and buffer mixing. It uses a flexible mixing chamber with silicone and TPE tubing and does not include process sensors or a drain valve. Installed in the appropriate magnetic mixing station, the chamber allows the magnetic impeller to generate circulation that can help incorporate floating powders and dissolve buffer constituents. The 650 L volume should be selected against actual batch size, mixing dynamics and headspace requirements rather than assuming that a larger or smaller bag has identical performance. Inspect the bag film, connector integrity and tube routing before transfer; ensure that the support vessel and mixer drive are approved for the correct bag size. Establish qualification parameters for loading sequence, mixing energy, product homogeneity and foam control. This is the 650 L silicone/TPE version, not the silicone-only variant or the 1,000 L bag.
