YMC J’sphere ODS-M80 is a silica-based C18 reversed-phase HPLC column incorporating 4 µm particles with 80 Å pores. This analytical version measures 250 × 4.6 mm and uses the medium-hydrophobicity ODS-M80 phase within the J’sphere ODS-H80, ODS-M80 and ODS-L80 family. The phase offers a selectivity option for pharmaceutical compounds, aromatic substances and natural products, especially when changes in hydrophobicity alter peak spacing. A 250 mm bed supports demanding separations with extended resolution path length. The medium-hydrophobicity ODS-M80 chemistry should not be confused with either the higher-hydrophobicity ODS-H80 or lower-hydrophobicity ODS-L80 members of the same family.
