Agilent J&W DB-5 is a low-polarity fused-silica GC capillary column in an unusually narrow 0.10 mm internal-diameter format. The 20 m capillary carries a 0.10 µm film, enabling high-efficiency fast-GC methods when a suitably configured inlet, flow path and detector are used. The phenyl-substituted polysiloxane chemistry serves volatile and semivolatile organics; documented separations include citrus and essential-oil components. The operating temperature range is −60 °C to 325/350 °C.
