Answer:The ferrules are specified for GC capillary columns with 0.45–0.53 mm internal diameters and have a 0.8 mm ferrule bore.
Answer:They are graphite ferrules with a specified maximum GC oven temperature of 450 °C.
Answer:No. Ten graphite ferrules are supplied; connection nuts and any other installation hardware are separate.
Agilent graphite capillary ferrules form compression seals around compatible gas chromatography columns at suitable inlet and detector connections. Each ferrule has a nominal 0.8 mm internal diameter and is intended for capillary columns with a 0.45–0.53 mm internal diameter. The graphite material tolerates GC oven temperatures up to 450 °C and is used with many selective GC detector configurations. Supplied as ten ferrules, these are individual sealing components rather than complete column nuts or inlet assemblies. Choose the ferrule by both column outer diameter and the fitting geometry, because a nominal capillary internal diameter alone does not establish every connection requirement. During installation, seat the column correctly, tighten using the instrument procedure and check for carrier-gas leaks before analysis.
