These 20 mm silver aluminum crimp caps come in 100/pks and include a septum made from PTFE/silicone septum. This combination is best suited to headspace applications. This particular version is the most-widely used design for Headspace applications. It is compatible for both 10 mL and 20 mL headspace vials. While it is the most common option for Headspace applications the cap is made from aluminium and is not magnetic, thus, is not compatible with magnetic-lifting autosamplers. It is also compatible across all non-magnetic-lifting headspace autosampler brands.

Application Note

Agilent certified headspace crimp caps combine a 20 mm silver aluminum cap with a blue PTFE/white silicone septum. The 100-pack configuration is designed to seal compatible 10 mL and 20 mL headspace vials for volatile-sample analysis by gas chromatography. The PTFE-facing septum helps provide a suitable contact surface for headspace sampling, while the aluminum crimp closure creates a mechanical seal after proper crimping. These caps are nonmagnetic and therefore suit autosamplers that do not require magnetic vial lifting. The stated maximum temperature is 180 °C.
